Cognative Weaponry

I wield a congnative weapon, it can be hired for a price.

Some clients find it disturbing, others find it nice,

seldom dull or passive, the target usually within site.

When asked if i use my armorment for badness or for good,

I guess that's a matter of perspective, depending on where you stand.

Cubicles Dont Totally Suck...

I Dont Work In a Cubicle - but I used to. Sometimes they can actually be helpful to focus and get work done. Plus they are private... Although I work in a historic high rise office with huge windows that overlook downtown KCMO, where, Sometimes the sun is so bright i have to put the shade down, I still have to sit at a desk all day and it drives me crazy sometimes. Music keeps me sane.

My coworkers and I design and build really, really nice places, like parks, trails, efficient cities, and green infrastructure. Its green, literally.

I like to utilize technology and my brain to make the world better, then i go ride it! This is definetly true. I will make the world better.

Pottery Wheel Anyone?

So, i bought my wife a brand-spankin' new Artista portable pottery wheel because she has taken several pottery classes and i think she is good at it. Plus, we have low fire clay, i am a pyromaniac with a huge fire pit in my back yard, and how hard can it be to make a glaze...like the way the friggin early agriculturalists all over the world did it back in the 10K BCs. Sounds like fun to most open-minded creative people, right?

Anyways, my dumb ass didnt realize that the paypal charge went to our joint checking account. So when she saw the charge I had to tell her and she got PISSED because she told me she didn't have time to do pottery because her job is SOOO stressful, and that she doesn't want me to spend that kind of money without asking her. I mean, she really has a problem with Christmas here in the US, where people buy things for one-another, with some surprises. Well, doesn't it kind of ruin a surprise to ask if its ok to buy something for them? I mean, i understand that it wasnt cheap, and that we shouldnt waste our money on things we wont use, but i really think she could be a good potter with a bit more practice, and its something we could do together in our house!!

WHAT THE FUCK!!!

So, now im stuck with this potters wheel, new in the box, that i have to either sell on craigslist or return at a deep discount. Anybody want a kick-ass potters wheel??

Shadow

My best friend. Always attentive, always friendly, always there for me. She can follow the mtb off-road for more than an hour.

Sweet New Ride

Early 70's Bridgestone, before RB-1 and MB-1 and all that. New paint job (custom rattle can by yours truly), kept the old decal on the seat tube. Aluminum lugs and steel tubes with no seat collar clamp (expander post), but i fabricated my own seat collar clamp because expander posts are non-existant. Built it up as a 5-speed 27" wheel, F/R Brakes. Bitchin!

Useable Spaces

Caught this guy using the seatwall indentation I designed into the North Plaza of Jackson County City Hall Downtown. He was comfy and it was shaded. Note the patented "skateplate" I put in between the seatwall caps...they make nice divisions for peoples asses and deter skaters from chipping the edge of the stone, plus maybe someday, somebody will request my US patent no. 14478664 to do it on their seatwall!! I doubt it though, its a pretty simple detail and its not like im out there looking for patent infringements or marketing the fucking thing. I tried to get the city to just make it all coping, but they didn't like that idea very much.
