Sonus Infinitum - The Seventh Musical Project from Layerlogic, 2011

iTunes sell music

First week of August, 2008

Back to working hard. Both work and music.

I am finishing off a stream buffer ordinance for Kansas City, Missouri. My coworker is leading it and im doing the spatial analysis. This has been in the works for 2-years, fighting laywers and landowners. Its a big win, perminantly devoting 13% of the developable land in Kansas City Missouri to riparing corridor preservation for terrestrial and aquatic habitat, bike trails, and non-structural stormwater management.

Was asked to overlay several bouzouki tracks on my drummers current album. Very cool, got to record them at UMCK conservatory of music. They will be part of his final project, and eclectic jazz and traditional ensemble.

Ended up writing 2 new tunes and had an impromptu 2 hour jam with Dr. Baker. Played drums through Santana Moonflower, 311 Grassroots, Weezer (not sure which album), and 3 Ben Folds albums. I really like Ben Folds percussion. Its hard to play and rewarding.

Getting ready to lay down ancient politics at Desmonds new studio, now we've got two of them, one on the west side, and one in hyde park...horay for money! Now to carve out the time. But really AP turned out to be a pretty eclectic 11 tunes, and will be a rollercoaster in style and tempo. I think im going to base the engineering on Guided By Voices, My Bloody Valentine, and some Jane's for good measure.

Gearing up to do design work on 13 large scale stormwater green infrastructre projects for the city of lee's summit, mo. Probably in the neighborhood of 2 million when all is said and done, and will provide multi-benefit park / stormwater facilites as opposed to concrete pipes and culverts.

Got an offer to pick up my old job at the bikesource, but still think i will keep my gig. although i like the idea of a 20 mile commute. Anyway, i commuted everything last week, which ended up being about 12 hours! Who needs training when you can just transport ideas without an auto!

Missed my ride with Duff this week due to a pretty intese music week (above) - but I have a little something for him and look forward to tuesday

Haircut anyone?
